Why Eye of Unity switched to NFT Game Keys and spendable cryptocurrency
Without an in-game currency, it will be more difficult to use a Play-To-Earn feature for a crypto game or to buy, sell, and trade individual items like sunglasses, hairstyles, and clothing. With an in-game cryptocurrency, (ION) Micro Ion Racers, it will be possible to integrate an objective of earning crypto instead of having to win an NFT. Players can play NFT games without spending any MATIC, but they will need to spend MATIC to unlock new features, such as new characters and houses. Gameplay will be unlocked with the # of your first NFT on OpenSea from the game’s collection whether it is purchased by you or has been transferred to you by a Discord member. The rest of the other tokens you earn by completing the game can also be used to buy items and different things for a more personalized game. Deciding to add an in-game economy element to each Play-To-Earn NFT Crypto Game release as a result of our first BETA test for the NFT game (ION) Micro Ion Racers. Releasing NFT Play To Earn Games
A play-to-earn-nft game is a game where the objective is not to win, but to earn nft. Difficulties accessing the game from desktop
Some of the Discord Members mentioned they had problems accessing the BETA Test Server for the Micro Ion Racetrack. To help solve this issue the Eye of Unity will be developing games on Google Play, IOS, and PC. We will release the games on all platforms to make it easier for players to access the game. This will also help players be able to access the game if they choose to play on mobile devices without the need to download software.
Difficulties implementing multiplayer
Play-To-Earn NFT games will need to be hosted on Phaser instead of the Eye of Unity’s website before they can be released. This is a learning process that will need to be done before the games can be released in the IOS store, Google Play Store, and on Chrome Browser.
Server speed
Eye of Unity uses low-poly and 8GB of server ram per game. It will be difficult to run games over a certain size especially with multiplayer as they will need more power. The Eye of Unity is using Brotli optimization and smaller sized games to help mitigate the power consumption of gaming all the time. Players will have to be patient while the game is being designed as they will need to wait to play the game on their smartphones.
The Eye of Unity wants to make sure that players feel comfortable and safe while making the game. We have a couple of methods to help prevent players from being taken advantage of. 1.) All items will be locked behind an NFT token on OpenSea and can be sold for MATIC.
Obtaining active players without needing to compete against A.I. bots
Even though this will take some time the Eye of Unity Foundation would like to see the natural organic growth of these cryptocurrency projects as there is no other way to study the economics of the blockchain. A.I. will never be used to simulate fake players in multiplayer games. We are developing single player mobile game apps to play instead our real multiplayer games so those that are new to gaming will have enough time to practice before entering into competitions with other crypto gamers.
We are currently looking for a way to put out the games on all platforms at the same time. This will give players enough time to complete the game without having to worry about being released on all platforms at the same time.
